Professional Wheel Fill and Drill Modification Services
A fill and drill can provide more wheel options for a car, and is done by professionals to ensure safety and durability. Additionally, it's important to verify that the new bolt pattern does not interfere with other factors, like brake clearance or hub size.
*We recommend doing this type of work before refinishing wheels.
How it works:
The Fill and Drill process is when the existing lug holes are welded shut with compatible alloys, and then a completely new bolt pattern is drilled. This is typically done when someone wants to conver wheels that originally wouldn't be compatible with that wheel due to differences in the number of bolt holes.
For example, if you have a set of wheels with a 5x120 bolt pattern but your car uses a 4x100 pattern, you could fill and drill the wheels to fit your car.
The process involves:
- Measuring the existing bolt pattern and checking bad pad to determining if the new wheel can be welded.
- Welding existing lug holes on the wheel to make it blank.
- Drilling new holes, using a CNC machine for precision.
